The Dinner will celebrate the South African Litvak success story. A presentation will be made about the vocations, professions and trades in which the Litvaks were engaged in Lithuania in previous centuries, their cultural and business activities subsequently in South Africa and finally in Israel.
The Dinner will bring together all parties, South African Litvaks, the representatives of the respective governments and Israeli business leaders, to first and foremost recognize, celebrate and showcase the South African Litvak immigrants over the years and their contribution to the economies of Lithuania in the 18th and 19th centuries, South Africa in the 19-20th centuries and Israel in the 20th-21st centuries.
Invitees will also include chamber members, senior Israeli and Jewish South African business leaders and a hall full of South African Litvak Olim and their sabra offspring.
Tickets will be available on a first come first serve basis.
Ticket price - NIS 300 per person.
A souvenir booklet is also being prepared to commemorate the event in which persons are invited to place personal or corporate wishes.
